Considering Quartz Countertops?
There's a new player in the countertop market. Not since laminate countertops showed up in the roaring twenties have we had a good alternative like quartz in the countertop industry.
It's only natural though. When a superior product like quartz countertops comes along you can't help but to stand up and pay attention.
Granite was great but it has it's flaws. Laminate counters were terrible when it came to performance and standing up to the test of time. Personally, I think concrete will never take off as a viable alternative. But quartz countertops are here to stay.
Quartz is the new granite
- Quartz Countertops Are Harder Than Granite
- Quartz Surfaces Stain Less Easily Than Granite
- You Can Still Place Hot Pots On Quartz Counters
- Quartz Countertops Hold Less Bacteria Than Granite Countertops
- Cleaning Quartz Surfaces Is A Cinch
Quartz countertops will eventually replace granite as the homeowners choice for kitchen remodeling.
Quartz wont overtake granite overnight but it will happen. Quartz doesn't have much a "buzz" about it yet. Quartz countertops have been mentioned a few times by designers on home remodeling shows like "Get It Sold" and "Flip This House" but not nearly as much as granite.
As more homeowners like yourself are exposed to quartz countertops it's popularity will grow. There hasn't been a huge nationwide marketing push yet, other than a few commercials Silestone countertops.
Silestone has run a cute little commercial where kool-aid get spilled on the brand new quartz countertops. Mom comes over and cleans up the mess and tells us how easy it is. Soon we whould see lots more commercial like these touting the benefits of quartz countertops.
